The mountain railways of the Salzburger Land are not just operational in winter. There are also lots of mountain paths open to hikers, walkers and sun-worshippers in summer too. Four modern cable cars lead up into the grassy mountains of Pinzgau where you are that bit closer to the sky! The paths follow a comfortable trail up to an altitude of 2,000 m before they divide. Mountain bikers have access to 200 km of marked cycling and mountain biking trails whereas hikers can explore the mountain landscapes along 400 km of mountain footpaths.
And for a refreshment break, there are 30 traditional catered mountain lodges along the way. You might even find yourself succumbing to the euphoria of this Alpine beauty!
