How to get there

By car, from Germany

Motorway Munich - Salzburg (A8), take Exit Siegsdorf. Drive in the direction of Inzell, then beyond it until the Lofer turnoff. Take this and head towards Steinpass, where you cross the national border, head onwards to Lofer, then to Saalfelden and in the direction of Zell am See. In Maishofen, turnoff into Glemmtal. It’s then just 14 km to Saalbach Hinterglemm. You don’t need a motorway decal (tax) for this route.

Arriving from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Villach

Motorway Tauernautobahn Villach - Salzburg (A10) as far as the Bischofshofen junction, then on the Pinzgau national road (B311) towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.

Tauernautobahn Villach - Salzburg (A10) to Spittal, take next exit to the Car-In-Train station Mallnitz - Böckstein, then on the Pinzgau national road (B311) towards Zell am See, Maishofen, Saalbach Hinterglemm.
